This vocational Qualification in Food & Beverage Services is an important qualification for people who wish to work in hotels and in the Restaurant / leisure activities such as Sport Centers serving food & Beverage.

For whom is this qualification suitable for?

At certificate level it is suitable for someone who has no previous experience and who wants to learn about how to serve food and drinks to customers in a restaurant and bar. This unit will also give an awareness to the Standard Operating Procedures and focusing international standards for an efficient display of competencies.

The candidate will learn covering 25 Modules/Units which covers knowledge, Skills and Positive Attitude building exercises. The delivery of training has been divided into Knowledge units and Tasks (Skills) Units.

  • Industry Knowledge
  • Food & Beverage Service Procedure.
  • Personal skills, including how to fulfill customer expectations.
  • Security & Safety Practices / Fire Safety / Food Hygiene / First Aid
  • Menu knowledge.
  • Preparing and serving Buffets.
  • Restaurant & Bar Operation / Service.
  • Handling customer complaints.
  • General billing procedures, including guest accounting and Control.
  • Provide a table service, Silver service / Counter service and other style of services.
  • Provide a drink service and special service procedures / Wine & cocktail service.

Employment Opportunities:

The course is designed for the aspirant to enter the hospitality industry as a Waiter / Restaurant Associate.
