Park Street Mews

Park Street Mews is a delightful and stylish new restaurant located within a complex that comprises the old stables and stores built by the Moosajee family in the early 1900’s and can conveniently be found on – you guessed it – Park Street in Colombo 2, around the corner from the Beira Lake temple.

The restaurant was recently renovated in a rather quirky style that is at once cool yet unpretentious.  The service is warm and friendly, the food is fabulous and the ambience invites you to stay.  Our menu is a delightful fusion of continental and tropical cuisine, served beautifully by our welcoming staff.

Apart from our signature fish and meat dishes, we always have a great selection of vegetarian dishes.

We cater for those who are in a rush on their way to work in the morning – you can take away or eat a quick breakfast – or want a tidy and tasty working lunch.  At the same time we welcome those who want to enjoy a more leisurely meal – be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.  If you want to bring your laptop and work away at any time in the day, please come and use our free wifi, while enjoying our snacks, juices or coffees.

However, Park Street Mews is a restaurant with a difference.  Because it is the first phase of a larger project that involves the restoration of the old buildings next to and behind the restaurant into a mixed shopping and lifestyle centre, featuring fashion, accessories and services providers alongside furniture and decorative retailers, the space you are sitting in is not limited to being just a restaurant in which to enjoy a delicious meal.  It is also a place to shop.

All the lamps you see, as well as most of the furniture and other statues and art works are for sale, as is fabulous jewellery from a cutting-edge design collection.  If you see anything you like when you visit and would like more information, all you need to do is ask one of our staff.

Park Street Mews is also fast becoming one of Colombo’s premier events destinations, hosting as it has the Colombo Art Biennale, Colombo Design Week, Literary nights featuring authors ranging from Ian Rankin to Fatima Bhutto, as well as a variety of international and local musical acts.

We open at 8:00am for breakfast and close at 11:00pm on weekdays and at midnight on Friday and Saturday.  We do not have a license but you are free to bring your own wine to enjoy with your meal and it is for dine in customers only. (minimum spend is required)

Park Street Mews is an excellent location for cocktail parties and functions of just about any size.  We have hosting possibilities that range from The Aquarium, our private dining room that can cater to up to 15 guests, all the way up to using the entire venue including the cobbled pedestrian mews street for larger functions.
